The Familiars
Every sourcery has its familiars. Ours were not recruited. They simply arrived, assessed the situation, and decided to stay.
Thistle is our Keeper of Formulations. He is the reason nothing unworthy makes it onto these shelves. Small in stature, immovable in opinion, he has been reviewing botanical ingredients since before it was fashionable — some say since before recorded history, though he has never confirmed this. He takes his time with every product. He is never wrong. He is also never in a hurry, and we have made our peace with that.
Grimoire is our Keeper of Scrolls. He holds the sourcing stories, the ingredient histories, the knowledge that turns a product into a ritual. He arrived already knowing things we hadn't thought to ask yet, and he has been quietly indispensable ever since. He is watchful. He is precise. He has looked directly at several suppliers and they have not come back.
The Sourcery is theirs as much as ours. Possibly more.
